Unique land forms, including the volcanic peaks of Ngauruhoe, Tongariro and Ruapehu ensure the Tongariro Alpine Crossing is considered a world-renowned trek. The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is heralded as the best one-day trek available in New Zealand, while others say it ranks among the top ten single-day treks in the world. Many who complete the 12 mile journey will tell you the climbs can be steep and the weather unpredictable, though worth it in every aspect. Prepare for the elements. Ensure transport is arranged to drop you at the beginning of the track and pick you up at the end of the day.


2 Hour Guided Bush Walk

This option is ideally suited for clients to maximize an allocated travel day to or from Tongariro, or clients who would like to experience the volcanic terrain but are not keen on the more strenuous full day treks or for clients wanting further their experiences of the Tongariro National Park.  The Two Hour Bush Walk is perfect for tour groups who arrive mid to late afternoon into the area and who are departing the following morning.

The Two Hour Walk comprises of a selection of tracks on Mt Ruapehu.  Walk includes Taranaki Falls, Silica Rapids or the Ruapehu Top of the Bruce Circuit.  These tracks have native bush, river, alpine and volcanic highlights which our guides will enhance with their local knowledge of geology, volcanology and New Zealand culture history.
