The Sands – The Paw Paw Patch is a restaurant of such renown even other restaurateurs say they like to go there for a meal on their nights off.Vaima Restaurant & Bar – Lots of island ambience prevails at this bamboo-clad beachside restaurant. It offers a wide range of tastes, including spicy curry. Always check the daily blackboard specials, which feature fresh fish, but avoid anything claiming to be Cajun. There are a few tables on a veranda facing the beach plus picnic tables out by the sand.
Tamarind House – Tamarind House on Rarotonga in the Cook Islands is a very special restaurant and bar in a beautiful setting for a drink, light meal, dinner or that special function.
Trader Jacks – Trader Jacks bar and restaurant is an institution in the Cook Islands, offering great food, great service, great drinks and a great time.
Overlooking the waters of Avarua Harbour the Traders’ restaurant enjoys a stunning setting along with a reputation for quality dining, with superb, freshly-caught seafood a feature.
The Traders bar is one of the most popular in the South Pacific.
The Flame Tree – The Flame Tree Restaurant is set in a lush tropical setting in Muri, Next to Manea Beach resort and a short stroll from the Muri Beach Club Hotel, Pacific Resort, Sokala Villas and many other resorts in the Muri beach area. The Flame Tree Restaurant is also a popular wedding reception venue and can accommodate groups of up to 65 people.
Cafe Salsa – Cafe Salsa is owned and operated by Tony Kelly Bullivant, both have had colourful and successful histories in the restaurant business. Cafe Salsa offers contemporary Pacific Rim cuisine and a few local delights from Rarotonga. Cafe Salsa is the home to Rarotonga’s only wood fired pizza oven and uses only the freshest produce available. The restaurant has a relaxed bar for pre and post dinner drinks where you can mix and mingle with a few locals. There is courtyard dining when weather permits.
Windjammer Restaurant – Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Serving world class Pacific/European cuisine. Fully licensed premises, fully air conditioned, perfect for all occasions. Open every night from 5.30pm (Sundays from 6.00pm, closed Tuesdays).

Notes:
Direct flights from Los Angeles to Rarotonga depart just once a week on a Sunday night at 11pm, arriving on a Monday morning at 6am. Your return flight would be on a Saturday night around midnight arriving back in Los Angeles on a Sunday at around 12:30pm. Your choices are therefore 6 days and 5 nights or 13 days and 12 nights etc. They are based on the lowest published airfare and the best low season resort special and are subject to change without notice.
