Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort is situated on the edge of a magnificent lagoon, with views toward the island of Tahiti. The resort features 95 luxurious bungalows built over the water, on the beachfront or surrounded by landscaped gardens. Facilities include two restaurants, a bar, a magnificent outdoor heated swimming pool, day spa and Jacuzzi. The Sofitel Moorea Beach Resort has one of the worlds most beautiful beaches. The resort is currently under renovation and will be opened on November 1, 2006 for guests.

Beyond the array of available water activities, both motorized and non motorized the Sofitel Ia Moorea includes 2 indoor and 2 outdoor tennis courts on the property. Nearby activities include an 18 hole-golf coarse, horse back riding and deep sea fishing. By car, the hotel is just five minutes away from the airport and sea port facing Papete on the east side.
