DOLPHIN WATCHING TRIP – Spend the morning with the dolphins in Natewa Bay, the South Pacific‘s largest bay is home to 2 spinner dolphin pods & over 50 dolphins! We take you down a picturesque highway, past quaint villages and untouched coastlines, approximately 25 minutes, board the boat & take in the scenic bay. The bay itself is a unique ecosystem, with spectacular snorkeling for you to enjoy. ($100FJD/person) Min 4, book in b4 it’s too late!

VOLLEYBALL – Join our staff for a friendly game of volleyball. We warn you-they are tough competitors.

KAYAKING & SNORKELLING – is exciting along the Koro Sun lagoon, as you will get to see small fishes of different colors and the world under the sea! You will have the chance to stretch those muscles of yours above all the cool breeze of the morning will keep you refreshed during the day or the afternoon breeze will cool off your day.

CHURCH SERVICE – The melodious Fijian voice raised in celebratory song is an experience that will touch your very soul. Check with the front desk to schedule a seat in the van. Please also note that a collection plate is passed during the service.

CORAL GARDEN SNORKELING – Take a short drive to our very own Coral Gardens. Your guided snorkeling trip will take you to see lots of vibrant soft corals, brilliant colored fish, an occasional larger visitor, caves and many more. Not to be missed.

HERBAL WALK – The rainforest of Fiji are magical, mystical places. Within their depths lie amazing herbal “remedies”. Your own Koro Sun guide will share with you the knowledge that they’ve gained from their ancestors. Which leaf used to cure a stomachache, which root will treat diabetes, what bark stops a headache in its tracks. The wonders of nature unfold for you!

ENJOY GOLF – Join our pro Vijay Goundan, for a challenging round of 9-hole golf. The golf course takes you throughout our pictorial property and offers stunning views. Vijay will gladly offer his expertise and insight, as well as lessons for those who are interested in starting a new sport.

TOWN /MARKET DAY – Saturday is market day. It’s a bustling time, when locals shop for fresh fruits and vegetables at the municipal produce market “downtown.’” Check out the variety of mangoes, papayas, root crops and then stop at the fish market to see what the “catch of the day” will be. You may enjoy stopping at a fresh fruit juice bar, or checking out the souvenir shops for Fijian handicrafts and artifacts to take back home for you and loved ones.

CYCLE THE HIBISCUS HIGHWAY – Hop on a mountain bike and enjoy the ride! Your guides will take you down the scenic Hibiscus Highway. You can enjoy a more leisurely exploration of the scenic coastline you only glimpsed from your passing vehicle. Go for a short trip, or a long excursion – but be sure to check out the Namale Blowholes along the way.

FIJI HISTORY, MYTHS & LEGENDS – We are a land of rich history and ancestral ties. Our story started 3,000 years ago, when the first Fijians landed on our shores, and called ‘Viti” home. Trace the footsteps of our brave forefathers, brought to life by your Koro Sun storyteller.

LEISURE TIME – Enjoy the quietness of the resort as you lie by the pool(if not wet) in your bure or in the lounge with a book, play a game, watch movies or just relax and do nothing and just imagine the wondrous creation around you.

KAYAK TO BAT ISLAND – Kayak across the lagoon to Bat Island. See the bats that inhabit the island, explore tide pools and swim in lover’s grotto-a cave at the back of the island. Lots of sea creatures-starfish, sea cucumbers, crabs, sea slugs & more to be seen. Take a break and sun bathe on the beach.

RAINFOREST TREKKING – Koro Sun is surrounded by virgin rainforest. Each morning or afternoon we set out to explore another corner of our lush surrounding. Join our staff on a morning or afternoon walk into our 90 acres of tropical rainforest and take a swim in our waterfalls as a treat to start or to cool off your day.

TENNIS – Enjoy a game of tennis on our two tennis courts. Invite our staff to join you – what we lack in skill, we make up for in enthusiasm or join your partner.

LOVO/MEKE – Each week we feature a “lovo” and “meke” night. Lovo is an underground oven, and you can watch from the preparation stages until it is “unearthed” and table ready. This is followed by a song and dance celebration, a Fijian meke, where colorful fan dancers and club carrying warriors re-enact Fiji’s history.

MORNING WALK…along the Koro Sun heights, you’ll enjoy the spectacular views and feel the cool morning dew or the afternoon breeze and join in for a walk to the waterfall for a refreshing swim…don’t miss!!

RESORT MORNING WALK – Enjoy the resort scenery as you walkabout the resort. See the colorful flowers, tall trees, the green, green grass, see where the fresh water eels make their homes, hear the birds & crickets sing and feel the morning dew on your body which will enhance your day.

SALT LAKE KAYAKING – The easiest way to paddle – downstream both way’s! We will follow the tides, so you never have to fight the current. A 15 minutes ride takes us to the “put in” spot on the river. With the incoming tides, paddling upriver is easy – just let the gentle ocean currents guide you. We arrive at the island’s largest salt lake, where exploring its tranquil beauty is compulsory. Your guides will entertain you with legends of the area and tales of the Fijian god of the ocean, who guards the lake entrance. As the tide turn, we “go with the flow” & head downriver towards the ocean, where your van awaits to take you “home.” FJD$55.p/p - Min 4

GUIDED REEF EXPLORATION – Join Solo or Hiram our guide & kayak over to Bat Island where we leave the kayaks and walk onto the reef where you’ll explore the craters in the reef, see the many different types of sea creatures that lie on the reef. Let your guide share with you which sea creature is tasty to eat and the usefulness of others. A great way to spend the day.

RESORT BEACH WALK – Join the activities guide on our beach walk to see what the beach has in store for you. Look under corals to see some interesting species or just enjoy kicking the sand as you take the walk and feel the morning dew or afternoon breeze on your body.

SUNSET KAYAKING – Grab a few beers and kayak out on to the Ocean and experience a romantic sunset. Please remember your way back or just relax out by the Seaside Restaurant and watch the sun go down. A nice way to finish off the day.

GUIDED RAINFOREST BIRD WATCHING – Take an Educational hike with Solo or Hiram into our 90 acres of rainforest and look our for those rare birds that make their homes in the forest. As you hike into the rainforest you’ll also see the different types of trees and canopies of vines and plants. Your guide will share with you the usefulness of trees, plants and vines. Remember your binoculars and insect repellent. $10.00 p/p - 2 hours / min 4 pax VILLAGE TOUR- Nestled within a valley, there are approximately 200 villagers who will share with you a part of their culture & heritage. An unforgettable experience as close up as it gets. There will also be local handicrafts for sale. The village herald (Turaganikoro) shall take you around and shall share with you the history of his village.. Be a part of this cultural experience. As these wonderful people share their past, present and future with you. An experience not to be missed!

FIJIAN NET FISHING (YAVIRAU, TRADITIONAL “VINE-NET”FISH DRIVE) – Has for many generations a very effective method of fishing for many of the villagers on the coastal areas of Fiji. This type of fishing was usually done to conclude the mourning period after the death of a chief or princess in a village or as part of the celebrations during a special function. You can also be a part of this truly wondrous spectacle when you go out with the villager’s staff of Waivunia village for the Net Fishing. This is an experience you definitely do not want to miss.

MORNING WALK – Be part of the awakening. Feel the dew on your skin, taste the sweet morning while listening to the birds, the crickets and trees as they share this short majestic time of the day and learn about the numerous plants we use for almost any illness.

SPLIT ROCK SNORKELING – A short drive takes you to Split Rock one of our awesome sites. Your fully guided snorkeling trip will delight you with lots of vibrant soft corals, brilliant colored fish, an occasional larger visitor, all in our beautifully warm, tropical waters. COCONUT HUSKING & GRATING – You are welcome to learn how to husk and grate a coconut and let the guide share with you the usefulness of a coconut shell, juice, the fiber and the white flesh. You can also taste the flesh, and drink the juice. All from a nut.

COCONUT BOWLING – Try the Fijian way of bowling using nuts. It’s fun to try it out with our guides. Make sure you don’t bowl your opponent’s feet. Yes, it hurts. Come and stretch those muscles and join the fun.

SCHOOL VISIT – Come join the guide on a village school trip. See how the Fijian children sitting beside, playing or eating with a non-Fijian child. See the way that these multi-racial children are taught in the classroom and out of the classroom, in which one day they will become the future leaders of the country. $5. p/p Min 4

GAME FISHING DAY TRIPS – Experience a day at sea with Captain Steve or Colin. With years plus of experience, either will take you where the fish are…in our own backyard- the Koro Sea. All the gear and lures are supplied. All you need is the desire of a day of fun and excitement!

PEARL FARM TOUR – Owned by marine biologist Justin Hunter, Savusavu’s black pearl farm is one of the prides of Fiji. Tour the various stages of oyster development, & make sure to bring a mask & goggles so you can see, close up, the rows of underwater oysters. Stopping back at the showroom is a temptation as these pearls are truly the gems of the South Pacific.

COCONUT DEMONSTRATION – Known in Fiji as a “tree of life” the coconut is a life-sustaining tree in the islands. Every bit of the plant is used- from the roots to the bark, to the nut. Your guide will explain the importance these towering trees have for the Fijian people. Join in on coconut grating (and tasting!), weaving hats & baskets. Watch your guide nimbly climb up these beautiful giants.

SUNSET CRUISE – Sail into the magnificent South Seas sunset for a taste of paradise! Amazing views, astonishing hues, some nibbles, a frothy drink…sigh…heaven! What more can you ask for? Our sunset cruises depart at 6:00pm for the open seas, where you can count the tiny islands, sit back and let your captain sail you to the horizons edge. FJD$45. p/p. Maximum 6, Minimum 4

JUST KAYAK – Pick a kayak and paddle around the Koro Sun Lagoon and jump off at points to see what the underworld has is store for you. Remember your suntan lotion & snorkel gear.BILIBILI FISHING- Join Solo or Hiram doing hand line fishing in the Koro sun Lagoon on our Fijian made raft(bilibili) and catch all sorts of fish. It may be a honeycomb rock cod, parrot fish, traveli or even a Barracuda. You’d be surprised!!!!

PEARL PRESENTATION – Come along for an educational as well as an interesting presentation of how this gems are being moulded and transformed into what they are. It will be held at the lounge next to the reception area. All are welcome to attend.

TABLE TENNIS – Challenge our guide or a partner to a game of table tennis in the Fitness Centre. Strike the ball and swing those arms to the beat of the music.AFTERNOON WALK – along the Koro Sun Heights you’ll enjoy the spectacular view and feel the afternoon breeze and join in for a walk to the waterfall for a refreshing swim….don’t miss!
