Yasawa Island Resort - 7 Night Package with Diving Option
Whether lazing by the pool or on the beach, visiting nearby villages or walking through the rain forest, the setting and high standard of service are captivating.
Just a scenic 35-minute flight from Nadi, with spectacular views of the reefs, lagoons and islands of the Yasawas, brings you to Yasawa Island Resort. Catering to a maximum of thirty-four people, this is the only resort on an island of more than 12,350 acres comprising some of the finest beaches in Fiji which are easily accessible to guests. Yasawa creates a special relaxed atmosphere with comfortable spacious deluxe bures having separate bedroom and living areas on split-levels. King-size beds, double showers and vanities all open onto individual sundecks. The food is a delight, with fresh lobster and reef fish caught daily and blended by the European chef with locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables, providing an imaginative Asian and South Pacific cuisine. Amid the palms on this remote island in the Fijian archipelago, immerse yourself in blissful solitude and absolute luxury at Yasawa Island Resort. Here, you can do as much or as little as you desire. Slip below the surface of Yasawa’s pristine waters and you’ll find a world as heavenly as the island above.
Activities include snorkeling, tennis, croquet, bush-walking, and of course, relaxing in a hammock with a glass of champagne. Light-tackle game fishing, and scuba diving are also available for an additional charge. A visit to Bukama village provides guests a chance to experience Fijian culture. A performance by the church choir, and a village meke and lovo are highlights.
Namenalala Island is one of Fiji's largest hawksbill turtle-nesting areas so both divers and snorkelers swim with them at all times of the year. Nesting season runs from December to March and if you are here at that time, there is a chance that you will see either the female laying her eggs on the beach above high-water mark or watching nests hatch and the babies making their way to the sea. We do see turtles year round as the Namena Barrier Reef is also the feeding ground for both the green turtle and the hawksbill.
Diving Enjoy the finest diving in Fiji with Yasawa Island Resort. Our small, intimate dive groups ensure you receive the personalized attention you deserve from expert divemasters and crew, who will show you spectacular sites not visited by any other boats. For the uninitiated, Yasawa offers the ideal learning facility, with two expert instructors providing one-on-one attention, if required. But whatever your ability, Yasawa assures you of an unforgettable diving experience. as personalized and intimate as the resort itself. No crowds, no other dive boats at any of the sites. There is nothing for you to do except delight in this underwater paradise. The Staff set up and prepare everything on our spacious, purpose-built dive boat. Our experienced, knowledgeable crew makes sure divers with special interests such as photography get to see spectacular sights like lionfish and nudibranches. And since we are still exploring reef areas, you may even have the opportunity to ‘discover’ new sites yourself, if time and conditions allow.
Yasawa Island Resort’s PADI accredited dive center offers dive courses from Beginner to Assistant Instructor. The beginner ‘Discover Scuba’ program is a free, two-hour pool lesson offered any day as an introduction to diving. From there, guests may do a ‘Discover Scuba Dive’ course in open water with either of the resort’s instructors, and then make guided dives during their stay without further training, just for fun.

Like every activity at Yasawa Island Resort, learning to dive is a supremely pleasurable exerience. Our highly qualified instructors guarantee it by training only small groups where learners receive all the individual attention they need. Our senior instructor, Sandy Watts, has 10 years industry experience and has been teaching in Fiji for the past six years. Her South Pacific diving experience extends to New Zealand, Tonga and Vanuatu, and she has also worked in the Red Sea, Egypt. Sandy’s Instructor Development Course (IDC) Staff Instructor qualification rates her as very senior in her field. To attain this rating, several courses beyond Open Water Instructor had to be completed, including Medic First Aid Instructor, Specialty Instructor and finally, the IDC Staff Instructor qualification.
At Yasawa Island Resort, our Dive Shop stocks a range of accessories such as masks, snorkels, safety sausages, waterproof fish identification books, slates and t-shirts. We can arrange for the purchase of larger items, such as fins and dive computers, through our Nadi supplier. Guests can bring their own gear. However if you’re concerned about weight restrictions, we recommend that you leave heavier equipment such as fins, wetsuit and BCD home and just bring your regulator and mask. With no extra charge for equipment rental, it makes sense to use our gear. We rent full foot (no booties required) Mares fins, Sherwood BCD’s and regulators fitted with safety equipment, with Uwatec bottom timers and gauges.
