Fiji Islands Diving Packages Matangi Private Island Resort
Diving Dive sites are selected according to the day’s tidal movements and prevailing weather to ensure the best choice of dive sites for the day. The dive boat departs from Matangi Island at approximately 8:30 am daily for a single tank dive followed by an approx 1-hour surface interval before a second single tank dive. The dive boat usually returns to Matangi between 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm in time for lunch. Dive towels, refreshments and cookies are provided on the dive boat. Our staff will provide you with a personal catch bag to store your dive equipment As the dive boat will not drop anchor on any of the dive sites, it is important to follow the guide to ensure your safe return to the boat.
Your guides will provide you with a thorough briefing before each dive and will be in the water with you at all times to assist and ensure that your dive is safe and enjoyable. Please note that dives are not permitted within 24-hours of flying to / from Matangi Island. Diving cannot exceed a maximum depth of 120-feet / 37-metres and all diving has to be done within non-decompression safety limits. You will be required to produce your dive certification card for registration at the activities / dive center. The daily dive rate includes 2-tank morning dives before returning to Matangi Island for lunch. Day trips to the more remote sites including the Somo Somo Strait can be arranged from Matangi Island with a minimum of six divers. A surcharge of $80 per person applies and includes an optional 3rd tank at no extra charge. Lunch and refreshments provided. Additional afternoon and night dives (weather permitting) require a minimum of two divers and cannot be pre-booked or pre-paid. Dive packages cannot be shared or transferred. Pre-paid dives that are un-used cannot be transferred or refunded. Unlimited free of charge shore diving, day or night, is available to any diver purchasing a minimum of 3-days of diving. These dives offer excellent macro photography opportunities. You will be required to have a buddy for all shore diving. If you do not have a buddy, it may be possible for one of our dive staff to accompany you. Package Inclusions

The above rates are valid until 31 March 2009, please ask for rates for departures after this date. The flight prices included in this package are based on the lowest fare and subject to availability. To get this rate we recommend you book early. Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Add-on fares available from other cities. Hotels are subject to availability. US/foreign taxes/fees/fuel surcharges of approximately $285, including September 11th Security Fee, are additional. Prices reflect a 3% discount for purchases made by cash/check. There are no discounts for payment made by credit cards. Cancellation penalties and other restrictions apply. There may be black-out dates on this package.

Matangi Island Resort is the most centrally located of all the Northern resorts to the exceptional scuba diving sites which Fiji is famous for. Only fourteen bures overlook the beach; each one includes a queen-sized bed, lounge area with a day bed, private patio and stocked mini-bar. Two of Matangi’s bures are magnificent “Treehouse” bures. Matangi’s wide variety of outdoor activities includes bird watching, hiking into the rainforest, enjoying secluded beaches, snorkeling, paddle-boarding, windsurfing and saltwater fly fishing, as well as some of Fiji’s best scuba diving.
Within a 20-mile radius of Matangi Island are countless dive sites including the world famous Great White Wall at the Somo Somo Strait and Noel’s Wall at Motui Levu. Matangi’s many dive sites offer both advanced and relaxed diving.The Dive staff will explain the dive program upon your arrival at Matangi.
