 Idyllically set on the shores of a sheltered lagoon, The Sunset Resort has 35 spacious self-catering apartments situated either on the Beachfront overlooking the lagoon or beside either of the two swimming pools amid lush tropical gardens.
This personally managed resort has an intimate atmosphere that will make every guest feel welcome and ensure they experience the magic of Rarotonga and its people.
The secluded beachfront location of the resort on the western side of the island provides guests with an unspoilt view of Rarotonga’s exotic sunsets from any of the suites. Only eight minutes drive from the main town of Avarua and just minutes from the golf course and tennis courts, the resort is ideally located for convenience and privacy.
For self-catering, each suite features a fully equipped designer kitchen with a microwave oven, fridge and freezer. Try out the brand new Sunset Restaurant, with friendly staff and great service for breakfast lunch or dinner with a vast selection of meals to suit all tastes. For more casual outdoor dining, the Sunday Sunset BBQ is a relaxed option and gives guests the opportunity to mix and mingle with each other.
 All of the suites are air-conditioned and feature a Split Super King size bed, colour television DVD/CD player, in-room safe and IDD phones. The European styled bathrooms are fully tiled and louvered shutters are set throughout the suites with insect screens. In addition there are 21 Garden and poolside studio suites, 2 Poolside 1 bedroom suites, 1 Beachfront two Bedroom suite, 7 Beachfront Studio Suites and 4 Poolside 2 bedroom suites, two of which feature disabled facilities.
The island bus stops at the resorts doorstep throughout the day and the friendly staff provide useful information on sightseeing tours, outer island excursions and other island activities including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and scuba diving. The Sunset Resort has all the conveniences and features needed for a relaxing escape within friendly, intimate surroundings.

The flight prices included in this package are based on the lowest fare and subject to availability. To get this rate we recommend you book early. Prices are per person based on double occupancy. Add-on fares available from other cities. Hotels are subject to availability. US/foreign taxes/fees/fuel surcharges of approximately $275, including September 11th Security Fee, are additional. After ticketing, date changes are allowed for $200 per person per change. Prices reflect a 3% discount for purchases made by cash/check. There are no discounts for payment made by credit cards. Cancellation penalties and other restrictions apply. There may be black-out dates on this package. Flights leave from LAX on Sundays arriving in The Cooks on Monday. they then return on a Saturday night getting back to LAX on a Sunday.
